Peer Support Program

Peer Support

Peer Support groups are a space for construction workers to share their experiences with mental health while connecting with a community of social and emotional support. Peer Support is proven to be one of the most effective prevention strategies for maintaining mental health. It can play a huge role in keeping small problems from becoming big ones. It can help with managing the effects of life challenging events and has a positive impact on mental health outcomes. When you attend a Peer Support meeting, you can expect a judgement-free, welcoming environment and a sense of community.

Peer Support is not therapy or counselling. It serves as an individual tool for those experiencing a mental health challenge to share their story and resources with their peers and learn about the experiences of others. It can also be used in tandem with therapy and medication to add a third, critical tool for helping people living with a mental health condition.

Join our Peer Support mailing list to be notified about upcoming virtual Peer Support group meetings.
