Membership Types

Most construction firms in Nova Scotia are automatically members with Construction Safety Nova Scotia (CSNS). We have three levels of membership:

Member

A Member is any company that has a current Workers’ Compensation Board account under the construction industry classification codes 4011-4499 and 3551. These companies are automatically members of CSNS. “Member” status cannot be purchased; if you are interested in benefitting from discounted training rates, you may become an Associate Member Plus or Associate Member.

Associate Member Plus

An Associate Member Plus is a company whose WCB SIC code does not fall within 4011-4499 or 3551, as well as companies not currently receiving WCB coverage.

Associate Members Plus pay an annual fee (based on company size) and is able to benefit from discounted training rates. See Associate Membership Plus Application Form.

Associate Member

An Associate Member is any company whose WCB SIC code does not fall within 4011-4499 or 3551, as well as companies not currently receiving WCB coverage.

We provide services to a broad range of industries outside of construction including: manufacturing, cleaning and janitorial services, forestry, farming and trucking/hauling.

What are the benefits of Membership?
