Pre-Requisites:

Confined Space - Generic from Construction Safety Nova Scotia within the last two (2) years and valid basic fall protection training from an approved provider. Participants must provide proof of certification at the time of registration for verification and have the certification readily available on the day of training if requested by the instructor. The certification remains valid only while the underlying training is valid; if the training expires, the certification expires with it. If you are unsure whether your provider is approved, contact us before registering.

Required equipment:

CSA approved work boots, hard hat, eye protection, gloves, and fully inspected* Class “E” harness.
*must be fully inspected by a competent third-party

Clothing appropriate for practical training indoors or outdoors.

Course Summary:

This course provides technical hands-on training using a confined space simulator and confined space entry equipment (tripod, winch, SRL-R, spreader bars, lifelines and Class E harnesses).

Participants will develop practical knowledge of the planning, set-up and execution of confined space entries. They will complete a variety of vertical and horizontal confined space entries. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the roles of confined space entrant, attendant and supervisor under the direction and supervision of experienced instructors.
