Here, you’ll find answers to the most common questions about accessing mental health, wellness, legal, and financial support through GreenShield+. Whether you’re a member, a dependent, or just curious about the program, this page will guide you through how Anchor Point works, what services are available, and how to get the support you need quickly, easily, and confidentially.
What is Anchor Point?

Anchor Point is a free Member Assistance Program (MAP) created by Construction Safety Nova Scotia in partnership with MERIT Nova Scotia. It offers confidential mental health and wellness support to construction workers who don’t have employer-sponsored support plans.

Anchor Point is delivered through GreenShield+ (GS+), a secure health and wellness platform by GreenShield Health. GreenShield+ connects you with licensed counsellors, legal and financial experts, and health professionals, all in one place.

Anchor Point was created for Construction Safety Nova Scotia members, and their dependents, who lack employer-sponsored benefits. However, it is fully open and accessible to all workers, regardless of whether they already have benefits.

You and your dependents receive:

  • Counselling: 3 hours of individual counselling and 3 hours of couple’s therapy.
  • Legal & Financial: Unlimited consultations with legal and financial experts.
  • Work, Health & Life: 3 hours each with specialists such as nurses, dieticians, and career coaches.

Yes. There are no costs to you or your dependents. Anchor Point is funded by Construction Safety Nova Scotia and MERIT Nova Scotia to support members’ health and well-being.

Absolutely. Your participation is voluntary and confidential. Your employer will never be notified and will not have access to any of your personal information.

  • Go to the GreenShield+ sign-in page and click Sign Up.
  • Select Through an employer or organization when prompted.
  • Verify your email, complete your details, and enter the Organization Code: CSNSMAP.

Once registered, you can book services online, by phone, or through secure video calls.

If you need assistance creating your GreenShield+ account or accessing services on the platform, please contact GreenShield’s customer support team directly. Construction Safety Nova Scotia does not manage accounts or provide technical support for GreenShield+.

Yes. Dependents are included and can access counselling, legal, financial, and health services through Anchor Point.

You can access GreenShield+ and book appointments anytime, from anywhere, 24/7.
