Construction Safety Supervisor (CSS) Program

The CSS program provides a higher level of safety awareness for supervisors and safety representatives in the construction industry. Participants who complete the CSS program are equipped with the knowledge and skills to develop in-house resources for their company.

Benefits of the CSS Program

CSS training is recognized across Canada by employers in the construction industry. For individuals with a minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry, the CSS program is an easy way to gain safety skills and knowledge.

What is required?

To receive the CSS program certificate, participants must submit a current resume, complete 12 mandatory courses, two elective compliance courses, submit three practical exercises, and write a final exam.

When paying for the final CSS Course, there is an additional $25.00 fee (+HST) for administration and review of CSS program materials.

When all elements of the program are complete you will receive your CSS certification.

Things to consider

CSS is a Nova Scotia based program and while it is recognized in other provinces, other training may be required. Construction Safety Nova Scotia also offers equivalency for designations completed in other provinces. Please contact us for further details.

Expired courses must be refreshed before certification can be granted.
