SUMMARY:WCB NS: RTW Planning - From Injury to Return to Work
DESCRIPTION:This webinar focuses on return-to-work (RTW) planning and the important role employers play in supporting an early\, safe\, and sustainable return to work for injured employees. \nWCB NS will discuss practical strategies employers can use to help employees remain at work or return to work as soon as possible. Topics will include an overview of graduated return-to-work (GRTW) planning\, the distinction between modified hours and modified job demands\, and the benefits of initiating the RTW process early. \nThe session will also review the claims management process and explore how proactive employer involvement can positively influence recovery outcomes. Participants will gain a better understanding of how facilitating a safe return to work\, even before formal direction is received from a healthcare provider or WCB\, can support employee recovery while helping to manage claim costs.

SUMMARY:WCB NS: Ergonomics - Understanding the Work: Using Incident Trends and Task Analysis to Prevent Injuries
DESCRIPTION:Musculoskeletal injuries continue to be one of the most common workplace challenges here in Nova Scotia. While organizations often focus on solutions\, the most effective prevention strategies begin with understanding the work itself. \nPlease join WCB NS for ” Ergonomics – Understanding the Work: Using Incident Trends and Task Analysis to Prevent Injuries”\, a practical webinar designed for supervisors\, managers\, and safety professionals who want to strengthen their approach to injury prevention and risk reduction. \nThis session will explore a straightforward\, proven process that starts with understanding the incidents at your workplace to identify trends and recurring risk factors. Participants will then learn how to conduct effective task analysis by breaking down work activities into individual steps\, allowing hazards and ergonomic risk factors to be identified before they result in injuries.
