Training Equivalency Agreement
In an effort to increase the regional competitiveness of construction industry firms and enhance the mobility of construction workers throughout Atlantic Canada, Construction Safety Nova Scotia, the Newfoundland & Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA) and the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association (NBCSA) have developed a Training Equivalency Agreement.
Under this Agreement, the Associations will work together to develop curriculum for OH&S training whereby the training delivered by any of the three signatory associations will meet or exceed the Provincial training standards of all three jurisdictions.
The Agreement was signed in St. John’s, NL, on Feb.23, 2015, in the presence of Bruce Collins (Construction Safety Nova Scotia), Jackie Manuel (NLCSA) and Roy Silliker (NBCSA).
